Strike With The Hammer

It was the 40th United States President Ronald Reagan who postulated that within the covers of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face. The late Reagan was dead-on. There is a wealth of wisdom and knowledge in the Bible that can turn questions into answers, problems into solutions and challenges to victories, if and when applied diligently. The Power in the the Bible has the capacity to jolt bones into a host of army, wilderness to marshy lands, valleys and mountains to plain lands. The Bible has a high voltage transactions that transfers power to the road of transit called life. This high voltage power can make even those of us in perpetual truancy to trumpet in joy as if we were in a trance.

Reagan is the man who predicted the death of Communism. For sure Communism complied with this uncommon oracle.

Biblical Power

Power is not beneficial until it is put to use. Joshua knew this, for he had learnt it from God. We can read what God told him in Joshua 1. Joshua was to meditate on the Book of the Law day and night. And as long as he did this, he was cocksure of capturing Canaan.  The endgame was surefire. Having the Word of God and not putting into use is pointless and pantomime.

A lot has been said and written about modern conventional weapons of warfare. But for the purpose of remaining within the object of our topic, we will single out one that is outstanding and relevant; The Massive Ordnance Penetrator.

The precision-guided Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) is the world’s largest non-nuclear weapon. It is designed to blast through concrete and earth at a supersonic speed and destroy underlying targets. It is as essential to modern warfare as the hammer was to the Bronze Age warfare.

Having MOP is one thing; using it is another thing.

In Jeremiah 23:29:  the Bible states, “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?

How many times have you found yourself between a rock and a hard place? It is only the word of God that can strike the rock and the hard (concrete) barriers stopping us from going forth. It is capable of destroying circumstances circumventing substantial expansions in our lives.

It is not uncommon to find ourselves in caves, lost and not found. It is only the word of God that can shatter those caves and curve a way out for us.

Rocky mountains are to be found within and without our realms. We try to climb and we are cut. We try to take shelter beneath and we become victims of avalanches. We try to ascend and the rocks break sending us down again. We wonder if we will ever get out of these unforgiving territories. The good news is that the word of God can beat the rocky mountains into flat terrain.

It happens that we reach a place in life where there are no water. The land is punctuated with rocks and stones. There is no river, no oasis, no visible source of water. We wonder as we wander in rocky and perturbing patches, not knowing where to find water. It is only the word of God that can strike the rocks to release water.

Many times boulders are placed on our doors. We find ourselves shut in. Like Jesus in the tomb, we are shut in by huge boulders. It is only the word of God that can strike the boulders into smithereens and afford us safe passage.

How many times have we found ourselves in concretes, in mountains, in rocks, in caves, in tombs?

I bet many times. God’s powerful word is capable of shattering those hardened hurdles. It is more powerful than any bunk-buster that we can ever conceive in our wildest imaginations.

The word of God shattered the ground during Moses time (Numbers 16) and swallowed the rebels who tried to ride on their high horses. His word can decisively decimate distressful elements in our lives.

The word of God has the power to penetrate deep into the hinterland of darkened hearts and bring illumination.

It can pierce through a hardened heart and make it soft again. It can strike at deadly ammunition stored in our hearts, and completely destroy them.

It can break to pieces all the nonsense, imbecility and childishness in our minds.

Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple
ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 30 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed
and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with
