Seeing beyond the horizons

To be a father to many nations, Abraham had to be childless first. This confirms that our God sees the end before the beginning. Learn that the God we serve can turn nothing into something.

To be God’s mouthpiece, Moses had to be a stammerer first. This reveals that our God can use anyone including that person we think he or she is lacking in seemingly relevant aspects. Do not write yourself off.

To be a valiant soldier, Gideon had to live in hiding first. This teaches us that our God does not see us the way we see ourselves. Learn to see yourself the way God sees you.

To be a great king David had to be a shepherd first. This proves that our God can move you from obscurity to observable. Do not despise the day of small things.

To be an influential queen, Esther had to be fatherless first. This shows that our God is a respecter of no persons. Take heed lest you despise your future Queen.

To be a Jesus follower, Paul had to be a Jesus persecutor first. This demonstrates that our God’s mercy cup never runs dry. Learn to be torpid in dishing out judgments.

To continue having great revelations and power, Paul had to endure a thorn in the flesh first. This attests to the fact that our God can use us even with thorns in our flesh. Do not be proud that God is using you mightily lest he shoots a thorn into your flesh to cut you to your size.
There is no greater testimony than a living testimony. There is no greater sermon than a sermon in the flesh; a walking sermon is an inspiring sermon.

It is one thing to talk about the revelations and illuminations of the Holy Spirit, and it is another thing to experience them. It is one thing to talk about protection and provision and it is another thing to experience them.

We must allow the Holy Spirit to adjust our antennae so that they face in the direction of the Kingdom station. In this way, we will be able to see past the physical, hear beyond the natural, smell beyond the material, feel beyond the feelings, and touch beyond the palpable.
